Hi everyone, I’m Eric. I grew up in Pinole and attended this district when it was Richmond Unified. I now live in El Cerrito with my wife (also a teacher…), our three kids Madelyn (13), Jocelyn (3) and AJ (1), and our two dogs Kingston and Emmitt!

I was journeyman undergraduate and spent  time at CU Boulder, Diablo Valley College, and San Diego Mesa College before getting my bachelor’s degree at University of California, San Diego. I received a master’s degree in Special Education from Loyola Marymount University in 2016. 

This will be my 9th year as a teacher. I began at Wilson Elementary teaching K-3 NSH until we piloted and later adopted the ISP program which also came with a name change to Michelle Obama School. This is my first year at Vista and I’m so excited to join the team!

When I’m not teaching, you might find me at an A’s game, fishing, mountain biking, golfing, or at one of my kids sporting events!
