Hello! My name is Valerie Collura. I have been working in WCCUSD for over 25 years, including 12 years teaching Kindergarten and 11 years teaching first grade.

I am delighted to be returning to Vista Virtual Academy as a second grade English Language Arts teacher. Early literacy is my passion, and I am excited about guiding my students as they develop their enthusiasm, confidence, and proficiency in reading and writing. I’m looking forward to working in partnership with families to ensure we all have a successful school year.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time walking my dog, riding my horse, and playing guitar.
