Hi! My name is Xanat Gonzalez-Darson and I am a supervising teacher and the Biology lab teacher for VHS. I first discovered my passion for science while working at the Exploratorium while in high school. I discovered my love for teaching while working as a tutor during my undergraduate education. I graduated from University of California Santa Cruz with a degree in Biology and completed my teaching credential program at San Francisco State University. I have worked in middle and high schools in the Bay Area and on the Central Coast since 2008. I also served as Peace Corps Volunteer for two years in the Dominican Republic working primarily in environmental education. I recently returned to the Bay Area and I am excited to join the Vista High School community.
