My name is Ashley Chang and this is my 21st year as an elementary teacher. I earned my B.A. in English from UC, Irvine. Then I went to Cal State Fullerton for my multiple subject teaching credential with CLAD. I earned my Masters in Education from National University.

I have taught 1st - 5th grade, I am G.A.T.E. (Gifted and Talented Education) certified and taught 3rd-5th at a Magnet school for gifted students for 13 years. Next, I helped open a new elementary school where I taught newcomers from different countries. After that, I worked at a Title 1 school with identified SPED students in my general education classroom. Before coming to West Contra Costa, I also taught at a Mandarin Dual Language Immersion school. I am a Google Certified Educator and have been trained in Lindamood Bell programs (Seeing Stars and Visualizing & Verbalizing).

I am excited and honored to be an inaugural teacher at the new Vista K12 Virtual Academy. This will be an amazing opportunity and I look forward to working with the Vista families.
