Hello! I started my teaching career in New York City before moving back to California, my home state. This is my eighth year teaching, but my first with WCCUSD. I am so fortunate to be with the amazing staff, families, and students of Vista Virtual!
I have taught Kindergarten through 6th grade. Most of my experience has been in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). I had the great experience of creating then being the content lead for a STEM + Exercise/Health program in a Los Angeles school for the past 3 years. I am passionate about STEM and Exercise/Health because it’s how the world, and our bodies, work! Those subjects prepare students to live, adapt, and thrive in a changing society and changing planet.
If you see me stopped on a hiking trail in the East Bay, it’s because I’m looking closely at some cool fungus, animal, or plant that caught my eye. I also love to camp, read, crochet, cross-stitch, and travel.
