Hi my name is Andre Brunetti, and I have been working as an elementary school teacher in West Contra Costa School District since 1999. My tenure includes 14 years at Chavez elementary, a two year stint in Uruguay, and time at Harbor Way Academy, Fairmont and Washington Elementary. During that time, I had the pleasure of teaching every grade level except for kindergarten (although I have worked as an aide in kindergarten classrooms). 

Last year, although we had an incredibly unprecedented year, I feel that I saw many students thrive in their learning. In addition, I felt that I made much stronger connections with them and their families over the course of the year due to having much more contact with them over Zoom. 

This is why I am so excited to be embarking on my new position as a founding teacher for Virtual Academy at Vista! I cannot wait to continue to grow as an educator and make even more connections with students, their families, and the staff.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, cooking, reading, watching shows, hanging out with my family, continuing to learn Spanish, and playing guitar and singing.
