Presently, there are programs in Dance, Drama, Instrumental and Choral Music, and Visual Arts including Media Arts throughout the Secondary Schools in the West Contra Costa Unified School District.   Our Elementary Schools offer instruction in instrumental music as a pull-out program and our Hercules area schools offer instruction in Violin as well.

 

As we craft our Strategic Plan for the Arts  in WCCUSD, we are exploring ways to integrate and instruct our elementary age students in the various arts disciplines in order to broaden their experience and to enhance their academic pursuits while building a base of interest that will prepare for the possibility of deeper study at the secondary level.
