We are pending guidance from the state of California and institutes of higher education such as the University of California about graduation requirements for seniors. WCCUSD is committed to ensuring that all students are able to continue with their post-graduation plans and are not adversely affected by the school closures.

The third quarter will end on Friday, April 3, 2020. The following will be observed as teachers finalize these grades:

• Only assignments given to students until March 13, 2020 will be counted  in the calculation of the (A-F) letter grades; Your teacher will contact you if you receive a D or F to discuss a plan to  improve grades.
• Incomplete (I) grades will also include opportunities for completion; Please let your teacher know if you are facing a personal or family hardship or do not have access to Wifi or a Chrome book. 

You should receive your report card by mail or electronically no later than Friday, April 17, 2020.

Colleges have agreed to accept credit/no-credit or pass/fail grading where districts have decided to use it for A-G courses and other courses without impact on grade point averages.  We have formed a task force to articulate our grading standards for the last grading cycle. The College Board’s AP Program has announced a new, at-home testing option for Advanced Placement (AP) students. Traditional face-to-face exam administrations will not take place. Students will take a 45-minute online free-response exam at home. Some students may want to take the exam sooner rather than later, while the content is still fresh. Other students may want more time to practice. Free to prepare for the exams are available. For each AP subject, there will be 2 different testing dates. The College Board is canceling the May 2, 2020 SAT and SAT Subject Test administration. Makeup exams for the March 14 administration (scheduled for March 28) were also canceled. Students who already registered for May, whose March test centers were closed, or who do not receive March scores because of any irregularities will receive refunds. In the coming days, the College Board will share additional 豆奶成人直播 and details directly with registered students and test centers. College Board will provide future additional SAT testing opportunities for students as soon as possible in place of canceled administrations. They have not yet canceled the June 6, 2020 SAT and SAT Subject Test administration and will continue to assess its status. The UC Office of the President announced measures to relax undergraduate admissions requirements. These measures include: 

• Suspending the letter grade requirement?for A-G courses completed in winter/spring/summer 2020 for all students, including UC’s most-recently admitted freshmen. 
• Suspending the standardized test requirement?for students applying for fall 2021 freshman admission. 
• Providing that there will be?no rescission of student admissions offers?that result from students or schools?missing official final transcript deadlines, and student retention of admission status through the first day of class until official documents are received by campuses.

California has  extended the flexibility on a wide range of issues, including testing requirements, timing of transcripts, and considerations about financial aid.
