      As we head into the winter months and the rainy season, I want to take this opportunity to clearly communicate our protocol around power outages. Our goal is to keep you informed, as soon as possible, of any outages that affect the school day.

    District Power Outage Updates

    • Power Outage: Ellerhorst is closed tomorrow (10/26/21)

      Good afternoon Ellerhorst Families,

      We want to update you about the power outage at Ellerhorst this morning.  School will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 to allow us time to investigate the cause of the intermittent power interruptions.   

      We distributed laptop computers and hotspots to families today. If you need a laptop or hotspot for your student to complete their coursework this week, please let your teacher know.

      If the power is shut off for a longer period of time, we will notify you as soon as possible. 

      We know the loss of power is a disruption, and the safety of students and staff is our highest priority. Thank you for your patience and understanding,

      Buenas tardes familias de la Escuela Ellerhorst:

      Queremos informarles sobre la interrupción del servicio de electricidad en la Escuela Ellerhorst esta mañana. La escuela estará cerrada mañana, martes 26 de octubre de 2021 para darnos tiempo de investigar la causa de las interrupciones intermitentes de electricidad.

      Hoy distribuimos computadoras portátiles y puntos de acceso a Internet para las familias. Si necesita una computadora portátil o un punto de acceso para que su estudiante complete su trabajo escolar esta semana, por favor comuníqueselo a su maestro/a.

      Si se interrumpe el servicio de electricidad durante un período de tiempo más prolongado, se lo notificaremos lo antes posible. 

      Sabemos que la pérdida de energía eléctrica es una interrupción, y la seguridad de los estudiantes y el personal es nuestra máxima prioridad. Gracias por su paciencia y comprensión,

      Good morning Lake Families,

      We want to inform you about a power outage at Lake this morning.  School is closed today as a safety precaution until the power is restored and filters are able to circulate the air indoors. 

      If the power is shut off for a longer period of time, we will notify you as soon as possible.

      Students will not be marked absent due to the outage. School will be in session tomorrow and run a regular school day.

      We know the loss of power is a disruption, and the safety of students and staff is our highest priority. Thank you for your patience and understanding,

      Queremos informarles acerca del apagón en la escuela Lake esta mañana.  La escuela estará cerrada hoy por precaución de seguridad hasta que la energía sea restablecida y los filtros puedan circular el aire adentro.

      Si la electricidad está apagada por un largo período, les notificaremos a ustedes lo más pronto posible.

      Los alumnos no serán marcados ausentes debido al apagón.  La escuela estará en sesión mañana y se tendrá un día regular de escuela.

      Sabemos que la perdida de energía es una interrupción, y la seguridad de los alumnos y del personal es nuestra mayor prioridad.  Gracias por su paciencia y comprensión.

      We want to inform you about power outages that have closed some schools in the district this morning.  School is closed today as a safety precaution until the power is restored. 

      Power is out at the following schools::

      • Fairmont
      • Montalvin 
      • Highland

      We are in contact with PG&E. If the power is shut off for a longer period of time, we will notify you as soon as possible.

      Students will not be marked absent due to the outage. School will be in session tomorrow and run a regular school day.
