• The purpose of the ECHS Leadership class is to promote school spirit, support school clubs, and encourage closer cooperation within the Associated Student Body (ASB). This course helps student leaders develop their leadership skills such as effective team communication, public speaking, community organization, and financial management. The student leaders are responsible for many of the Student Body events and fundraisers that occur throughout the school year. Leadership also provides many opportunities for students to collaborate with each other, the greater Student Body, ECHS faculty and staff, the school administration, the district, and outside businesses. Leadership is a letter graded, elective credit earned course. Class Officers and Student Association (SA) Officers hold annual positions, while Class Independents serve on semester-long positions. Officers are elected into office through votes from the student body, while grade specific indepedents are selected from an interview process led by the class officers. We welcome any student to join Leadership as a class officer or class independent, regardless of having no prior Leadership experience at ECHS. If you have at least ONE year of enrolled ECHS Leadership experience, you are eligible to run for an SA office position. We look forward to serving the ECHS school community this year as we come up with creative and innovative ways of bringing everyone together on campus. Go Gauchos!

  • "TBD", Senior Class President

  • "EC Leadership is all about building a relationship with different people from your school. The great thing is that you make friends, and get advice from the upperclassmen. In Leadership you learn to work together with people you just met, and you get to make students at school happy by bringing school spirit and setting up activities for the entire Student Body." --Saba Amin, Senior Class Secretary
