The CAASPP 2017 Student Score Reports (SSR) have been mailed to parent/guardians.  They should arrive no later than the first week of September. As you review your student's score, remember that the end-of-year assessment is only one measure of a child's academic performance, multiple measures - classroom tests, assignments and grades - should be used to formulate a plan that will help improve student achievement.

The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) is a standardized test consortium. It creates Common Core State Standards-aligned tests ("adaptive online exams"). The Smarter Balanced assessment system utilizes computer-adaptive tests and performance tasks that allow students to show what they know and are able to do. This system is based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English language arts/literacy (ELA) and mathematics. SBAC uses automated essay scoring.
