• Chavez Elementary School serves nearly 450 students in kindergarten through sixth grades in Richmond, CA, and is part of West Contra Costa Unified School District. At Chavez, all students, teachers, and school staff work towards achieving the school's vision, which is as follows:

    Chavez Scholars think beyond themselves and are problem solvers. They continually develop emotional intelligence and strong moral character as they gain academic proficiency and self motivation. They are on track for college and career success.
