Principal's Message

Welcome Helms Families!

We are so excited to have your student be a Helms Cougar! 

As we get settled in these first weeks of school, here are some highlights to remember:

1) We believe in making school feel like a family. Your student is in a "House" with teachers and staff who are dedicated to building strong relationships and partnerships with you and your student. These first two weeks, you can expect students to learn a lot about their teachers, classmates, expectations, systems, and routines. We teach and model expectations under the umbrella of Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Present.

2) Helms is a Full-Service Community School and part of the San Pablo Community School Beacon Initiative. This means you and your student have access to many types of academic, social, emotional, and enrichment opportunities. Our Beacon Director is Joyce Synnott and she is excited to connect our students and families with the resources they need to be successful this year. 

3) We believe in having great communication with families. Please feel free to call the school, come for a visit, or email our staff. We are here for you!

Monday, July 31st, 9am-1pm Camp Cougar 8th Grade

Thursday, August 3rd, 9am-1pm Camp Cougar 7th Grade

First Day of School: Tuesday, August 15th
