Welcome Message

Welcome to Stege Elementary School

Stege Elementary School, one of the first schools in Richmond, was named after Richard Stege, a wealthy frog farmer on whose estate the school was built. It opened in 1903 and is located in central Richmond. The present building was erected in 1943. Booker T. Anderson Park and Community Center is adjacent to the school.

The vision of Stege Elementary is that all students will leave here having mastered the standards in language arts, math, science and social studies. Our goal is that students will be literate, acquire strategies for resolving conflicts, and know how to make wise choices for themselves. The staff, parents and community are dedicated to working together to create a learning environment where everyone values education.
